Our Community Events
2020 Polar Plunge
Dr. Cara, Dr. Britt, Restorative Hygienist Britney and Office Manager Janet from the team at Children’s Dentistry took the “Plunge” in support of our special needs patients and Special Olympics into the icy Columbia River! Our bodies were cold but our hearts were warm as we raised over $1,000.00 for these special athletes and won the Community Member Participation Award for our efforts! Our team loves working with this special population of our patients so it was a joy to be able to show our support, have some crazy fun and help raise money for the Special Olympics!!!!
The Royal Tea
Every year in April Dr. Cara and the team at Children’s Dentistry have the fun of presenting to their patients The Royal Tea. It is a select opportunity for Dr. Cara’s patient’s to personally meet the Apple Blossom Junior and Senior Royalty in a one on one intimate setting. What a treat it is to have all our little “princesses” have the opportunity to put on their Sunday best, take pictures with the royalty, receive royalty trading cards and help themselves to a beautiful feast provided by Dr. Cara and her Smile Team. As the major sponsor of the Junior Apple Blossom Royalty Children’s Dentistry is proud to host this special private event for their patients. What a wonderful success it was this year. Thank you to our 100 year Apple Blossom Royalty for making all of our little princesses feel so special!
Sponsorship of PJ Masks Show
Dr. Cara and the team at Children’s Dentistry love bringing fun children’s events to the town of Wenatchee. That is why this year they teamed up with the Town Toyota Center to bring the wonderful superhero group, PJ Masks Show to the community! Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko all joined forces on the stage of the Town Toyota Center to magically come to life in an action-packed show of superhero forces! Just like the cavity-fighting team at Children’s Dentistry, PJ Masks were on their way, into the night to save the day! It was a fun night to be had by all!
Hike For A Cause
The mission of the Chelan-Douglas CASA/Guardian ad Litem Program is to recruit, train, and support community volunteers to advocate for the best interest and enhance the lives of children who are in the foster care system as a result of abuse and neglect. Children’s Dentistry has always been proud to support CASA and all programs that support the health and well-being of children. This weekend the Smile Bugg team joined up with the Chelan-Douglas CASA program and the Wenatchee Valley YMCA in Hike for a Cause. The goal was to help them reach 5,000 steps for 5,000 kids! What a great time we had climbing Saddlerock and supporting our local foster kids!
The United Way supports the Youth United Color Rush. Children’s Dentistry was so proud to be this year’s Color Rush bag sponsor! Every participant received a back bag with a Children’s Dentistry logo on it to take home. This event is especially awesome because it directly supports the youth in our community and that is what the team at Children’s Dentistry is all about, supporting and mentoring youth! We are so grateful to be in a position to be able to give back to our community!
St Joseph’s Harvest Festival
St Joseph’s is one of our local private schools. Each year they put on a fundraising fall festival to help support the school and students in need. Dr. Cara’s children attended St. Joseph’s. She has attended many a festival as a working parent and knows how vital community support is to the school’s day to day function. Supporting education is another of Children’s Dentistry’s priorities. Each child has the right to learn. Being a part of the Harvest Festival is not only fun for the Smile Team, it helps us share our support for learning and love for kids all wrapped up in one!
Chelan County Fair
The Chelan County Fair is a Cashmere, Washington favorite! So many of Children’s Dentistry’s patients participate in this fair. We love going up on Kids Day and being part of the fun! Supporting our patients and the kids who have animals entered through 4H is especially great to see! Schroeder Bear is a big cowboy himself and loves to watch the horses, cows and rodeo! The Smile Team loves to be on hand to say hello, meet new friends and support our community’s kids! Kids are our future and we support them any opportunity we can!
North Central Washington Fair
Held in Waterville, Washington, the NCW fair is fun for all. This year Children’s Dentistry was one of the sponsors of the Kid Zone! This fair is especially close to Dr. Cara’s heart because she grew up coming to it as a child. Her grandparents were Waterville wheat farmers and every year had entries themselves in the fair. We loved supporting the kids in the Zone, having fun coloring hair, riding the bull and flying through the air on the spring board. We’ll be back next year!
Thank you for visiting us at the NCW Fair!
